LOOKING FOR A CLUB?
The Papakura Cricket Club offers a friendly and all-welcoming environment, where players are encouraged to make the most of their abilities.
For the serious player, we are the only club in Counties-Manukau with a professional coach, and we will look to repeat that in 2010/11. Our Premier squad is determined to improve, and we are on the lookout for committed players to bolster both quality and depth in numbers. Trainings are structured and focused, with game plans laid out for matchdays.
For the social player, Papakura CC can also offer a more relaxed atmosphere where everyone is offered the opportunity to enjoy their cricket, with playing to win still the objective.
And for all players, we are a Club with a proud history and a desire to make the future of our Club even better.
If this sounds interesting, feel free to email us at info@papakuracricket.com. All correspondance will be treated with respect, especially from those who have played for other clubs but wish to test the waters elsewhere.
ANARCHY IN THE UK
An update on our three players in the UK;
Shane Gadsdon was recently selected to play for Bradford MCC, and is doing well for his club Baildon. Shane has also been filling in his days with coaching duties on behalf of his club.
Anthony Niterl is invited to play in three Surrey Academy matches, which is a great breakthrough. After popping his bowling shoulder this month, 'Nutch' is back into club life with Chessington.
And Stu Wood is also coaching local kids on behalf of his club, Worlingworth. He has made a couple of scores in his Saturday matches, and is going to play for the interestingly-titled "Gents of Suffolk"
You can catch up on how Shane, Anthony and Stu are doing by going these repective websites; www.baildoncricketclub.co.uk, www.chessingtoncricketclub.co.uk, and www.worlingworthcc.co.uk.
The Club wishes them all the best, and we hope to update you on their efforts in the Motherland.
