As well as these, Papakura CC members have also represented NZ (or England!) in other aspects;

Kevin Barry played 23 games for the All Blacks in the 1960's

Bruce Bricknell umpired international's in the 70's and 80's, including the Packer-era one-dayers

Noel Harford also represented NZ in basketball, between 1951 and 1955

Tony Hill has gone on to be an international umpire, and is currently on the international circuit

Bruce Hosking went on from the board of PCC to become President of New Zealand Cricket

Holly Huddleston has represented NZ in indoor cricket

Gary Kemble represented New Zealand as both player and coach in Rugby League

Brian Lee earned 9 caps for the Kiwi Rugby League team in the 1960's

Bob Lendrum played for the All Blacks, in a test vs England

Matt Maynard, named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1998, filled the role of assistant coach of England

Owen Paul umpired first class games in the 80's and 90's, including acting as 3rd Umpire in an ODI

Rick Pickard was a selector for the New Zealand "Black Caps"

Bruce Robertson a gifted All Black back, playing 34 Tests and 68 games for the ABs (3 as captain)

Brian Spragg represented New Zealand in indoor cricket

Anthony Thornton was a NZ international in hockey, and went to the 1992 Barcelona Olympics

Merv Wellington was the MP for Manurewa from 1975-1978, then Papakura from 1978 - 1990
